World’s best Search engine and one of the most admired internet brands has come with four new cool additions to its bandwagon:

1.

Google Reader

2.
Google Voice Local Search ( still in experimental stage. available only in USA)

3.

Keyboard gadget for entering Indic Text for search In Indian Languages

4.
For getting text in Hindi.[/right]

GOOGLE READER is basically one stop portal for getting all the sources of information but wait a minute. Doesn’t normal Google search does the same thing? How Google Reader is different? Basically Google reader is a source that filters out the unwanted information and present the most interesting bits to you in a useful way. For many of us, these sources include newspapers, magazines, and of course blogs. To make things more clear let quote Google reader engineer Ben Darnell, who wrote on official google blog:

The fundamental problem with information is that there’s too much of it, and this is probably why we all go to our trusted sources to learn what we really need to know. Your sources filter out the noise and present the most interesting bits to you in a useful way. For many of us, these sources include newspapers, magazines, and of course blogs. We built Google Reader as a way for you to see all of your online sources in one place.

So if you want to keep up with the chatter about the new iPods or Superbad, now you can. We’ve added a familiar search box to the top of Google Reader so you can search across all the blogs and sites to which you’re subscribed.

GOOGLE VOICE LOCAL SEARCH It is basically meant for small business purpose. Right this service is ubder experimental stage and the downside is that, it is available only in English language and too only in USA Using this service, you get fast access to the same local information you’d find on Google Maps. But you don’t need a computer, you don’t need an Internet connection, and you don’t even need to use your cell-phone keypad. It’s voice-activated, and you can access it from any phone (mobile or landline), in any location, at any time.

Here are a few of the features:

* You can find a business listing by category. Just say “pizza,” for example.
* You can send the listing details to your mobile phone via SMS.
* The service is fully automated, so it doesn’t rely on human operators.
* It connects you directly to the business, free of charge. However, your telephone company may apply regular charges for making a phone call or receiving an SMS.

A keyboard for entering Indic text This is actually a Google gadget for entering search queries in Hindi. Thereby, Google has just faded way the problem of Hindi loving people for searching the Net. Earlier, the text had to be entered in English, while whole interface went Hindi for users. It would be interesting to see how nicely Google promotes this tool among Hindi speakers. We feel it will take some good amount of time.

Google Indic Transliteration
Type a word in English and see the word in Hindi as you hit the space bar.
For example:
इमरान दुनिया का सबसे खूबसूरत लड़का है which in English means “Imran is world’s most beautiful boy.” Only problem is the spellings in Hindi gets wrong but that can be corrected by clicking on the word since it gives “edit” option on clicking. It takes too much time in formatting as because English to Hindi transliteration gets most of the words wrong.
