technoNix Eco-Compute: Artificial Trees That Harvests Solar And Wind Energy

Trees can now be used to generate clean electricity, thanks to SolarBotanic, a company specializing in mimicking nature. The artificial trees consist of Nanoleaves, which uses nanotechnology to capture solar energy in photovoltaic and thermovoltaic cells. They also have nano-stems and twigs having piezoelectric material to convert wind energy to electricity.

The company has several patents pending and are currently looking for partners for this project. No other details are available about this project. We seriously hope that this will bet a good step towards eco-computing!
