Do advertisements freaks you out?(Especially the smiley shouting: “no way!!!!!”). Fear not surfers, Firefox with all its massive extensions comes to rescue. Firefox is a great browser by itself. But extensions make it a lot bigger and better!

Extensions can perform a lot of things, Block popups, notifies you of email, customize websites etc! They can make Firefox a versatile and customizable platform for your browsing activities. But with thousand of extensions available, the user has to make a smart choice. Fear not surfers (again!).We at technoNix tested hundreds of extensions and present here a list of 20 MOST USEFUL FIREFOX EXTENSIONS. Although this list is not exhaustive, it’ll satisfy the hunger of many Firefox enthusiasts. Of course you are welcome to contribute to this ever growing list by commenting below! 4. FlashGot: This extension integrates most of the popular Download managers with firefox. Supports Bitcomet, DAP, FDM, FlashGet etc. Also supports for various Linux and Mac download managers also available. Must have if you don’t use DownThemAll.

5.GreaseMonkey: Allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript. Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of popular sites, are already available at http://userscripts.org. You can write your own scripts too.

6.Fasterfox: This dynamically Increases the performance of Firefox and speeds up browsing by significant levels.

7.Adblock Plus: Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? This extension can block virtually any advertisement on internet. Just subscribe with a “filter subscription” and all the ads will be gone without any effort. Also blocks all the popups! Recommended for all the power surfers.

8. Reload Every: Reloads web pages every so many seconds or minutes. The function is accessible via the context menu (menu you get when you right click on a web page) or via a drop down menu on the reload button..

9.gTranslate: With gTranslate you can translate any text in a webpage just by selecting and right-clicking over it. The extension uses the Google translation services to translate the text.

10. NoScript: Paranoid about internet security? NoScript allows JavaScript, Java and other executable content(Scripts) to run only from trusted Websites, thus reducing the possibility of XSS or similar attacks! Although this can screw up some websites that rely on JavaScript to function.
