Apple announced the much awaited iPhone 5C for price sensitive buyers. Priced at $99 (two years contract), the new iDevice comes with plastic back in a variety of bright colours that compliment iOS 7 native colour scheme. The phone is available in white, red, blue, green, and yellow. In pictures, it resembles the fifth-generation iPod touch.
“You won’t see joints or parts or lines,” said Phil Schiller, Apple senior vice president. “The iPhone 5C comes with everything from the iPhone 5, and more.”
The new phone has a four-inch 1136×640 display, an Apple A6 system-on-a-chip, and 1GB of RAM. The 5C will have an eight-megapixel camera with single-LED flash, dual-band 802.11n, and LTE.
The iPhone 5C will be priced at $99 for a 16GB version and $199 for a 32GB version.
