After the success of 15 inch Macbook Pro, Apple announced new 13 inch Macbook pro at the iPad Mini event today. The most important feature of the new Macbook is the Retina display, with 2560×1440 resolution and deeper, better colours.
Like the 15-inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Pro uses flash-only storage, has a dedicated 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics card and lacks an optical disc drive. Storage goes from 128 GB SSD to 512 GB SSD. CPU choices are 2.5GHz or a quad-core 2.5GHz Core-i7 chip, or high-end model with a configuration of a 2.9GHz quad-core processor. New and improved FaceTime camera can now take 720p photos and videos, MagSafe is replaced with the slimmer MagSafe 2, and two Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 ports are included.
Base model of 13 inch Macbook pro costs $1699 whereas the highest model is $1999, which is higher than expected.
