Appsync is a patch for MobileInstallation file for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch OS 3.x. It is needed to install ipa files manually without iTunes. It resolves error 0xE8008001 when you try to install unsigned ipa files in iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Note that it works only in jailbroken devices. Here are the steps required to install Appsync (and patch MobileInstallation file) :
- Start Cydia on your iPad.
- Tap “Manage” at bottom and then tap “Sources”.
- Touch “Edit” and then “Add”. Type “http://cydia.hackulo.us” and then “Add Source”. Cydia will now update its application database.
- Once it is completed, Search for “AppSync for OS 3.2” and install the app. This will install Appsync on your iPad and patch mobileinstallation file on iPad 3.2.
You can now install unsigned applications on your iPad 3.2. This will also eliminate error 0xE8008001.
